How right or wrong is it to call someone a fool? Being honest is one thing. But honestly thinking that some is a fool itself means that you put yourself in a higher pedestal of understanding as compared to the 'someone'. How can anyone be ever at a position to put oneself in a higher pedestal of understanding when absolute knowledge to any humankind is impossible.
Who then has the right to call me a fool other than myself. It is another thing that I am a fool in my own eye, because I have proved to be one time and again according to my own standards which are applicable only to me.
In no context do I have any right to barge my standards on anyone else therefore in no context do I have the right to call anyone a fool or consider them inferior to me, nor does any human have a right to call me one in any context whatsoever.
God has the right to do so, and God alone has the right. God is my mirror and he has shown me many times how foolish I have been.
I must also add that criticisms are much appreciated from anyone in whatever context, but belittling of another is not.
All the same, I have great respect for honesty and honest opinions. Hence if one thinks that I am a fool, I have no ego issues (only ethical issues) if one prefers to tell me the same. I would much rather know what is the honest opinion than being lied to. Hence if you do feel that I am a fool you are most welcome to tell me because I would happily agree with you. But I will not accept it from your standards and perspective, the reason being again that you have not complete/absolute knowledge to judge me.
However, I also believe that perspectives and standards must be shared to gain a wider, better and healthier perspective. To learn more and enrich our experiences these conversations and sharing is a must, where one respects the other and if desires to negate, does so without belittling the others' opinions.
Hence if you think I am a fool you are belittling me, my experiences (however limited they may be), and my perspective, thereby rejecting the knowledge that you might receive from me, my experience and my perspective.
